THE FLIP-FLOP KIT
The Flip-Flop activity is not only fun, but also it will give Grampa an opportunity to positively affect his Grandchildren’s critical thinking skills.
The alphabet, when written in capital form, has several letters which look the same upside-down as they do when correctly written. Using something that inverts the letters (turns them upside-down), in this case a test tube filled with water, allows your Grandchildren to see these letters.
Grampa can reward each correct selection. Then, using these letters, you can all work together making words, like CHECKED, that look the same either way. It can be a competition, again with positive reinforcement. How’s that for fun, Grampa?
